Description: Antique Rosewood American Melodeon, circa 1845
Silver engraved label: A.W. Shepherd, Elmira, New York. Early version of a reed organ. Keys are genuine ivory. Rosewood case with folding lid that closes to form a table or console. Some imperfections; bellows and most keys work well. The right pedal operates the bellows, the left is for "swell" or louder volume.
