More About this Item

Description: Crawler transporter #1 steering controller used in service from 1966 to 1979. This is one of only 4 steering controls used through the entire Apollo program. This steering controller was used to drive Saturn V moon rockets to and from the launch pad. From the estate of Donald Buchanan. The Space Walk of Fame has one of these controllers on display at the museum as part of our collection, One is in the Smithsonian so this is one of two others available for private ownership. A truly rare find
