Description: Archaeological Revival Gold and Intaglio Necklace, Attributed to Ernesto Pierret
Composed of nautical circle links centering detailed lion heads, alternating with cylinder links tipped by polished balls, surmounted by florets, centering one circular onyx intaglio depicting a classical woman with two attendants, flanked by four profile silhouettes of a man encircled by fish, two soldiers and one Roman, suspending two pendants of intaglios depicting two woman's profiles, centering one woman frolicking, completed by black velvet with double button clasp, unsigned, circa 1870, with original double hook clasp, two pendants of similar intaglio motif, two intaglio plaques, and four extra links and clasp. Length 17 5/8 inches.

Condition Report: Several minor scratches and nicks to onyx panels.
Diameter of center panel 1 3/8 inches.
Diameters of four panels 1 1/16 and 1 inch.
Diameters of pendants 3/4 and 7/16 inch.
Two loose onyx intaglios with frames, diameters 1 3/16 and 1 1/16 inches.
Two loose pendants with gold lion head tops, different frames.
2 3/16 x 13/16 and 2 1/16 x 3/4 inch (some solder at lower left edge of top panel).
Four loose lion head links. Loose clasp. Ribbon without clasp.
