Condition: Matted, framed.
Sheet is folded under at left, right, bottom sides to fit within frame. At left, sheet folded under 2.5 inches; at right sheet is folded under 2 3/8 inches; at bottom sheet is folded under 1 5/8 inches.
As it is presently housed within the fram and with the folded areas not opened, the sheet size is: 19 3/4 X 24 3/8 inches.
The image area is approximately 17 5/8 X 23 1/4 inches. Drawing is larder than the image in the catalogue.
The top 5/8 inch of the sheet was folded under, and is now flattened, but with a hard fold visible below the top of the sheet.
With tape pieces at UL/UR corners on sheet of cardboard used in framing. The work itself has tape residue at UL/UR on part of the folded under sections. The work used to be affixed to the backup cardboard in these corners, but it is no longer attached to the cardboard.
There is approximately 3/4 inch roughly semicircular tear in sheet at center right. While there are broken paper fibers, there does not appear to be any missing sheet.
The surface of the work has been manipulated so as to create numerous areas with fibrous texture- i.e. many areas of the drawing have paper fibers that have been joined and/or rolled together, giving parts of the drawn surface an almost fuzzy, textured appearance. This is presumably by Artist intent, rather than a condition defect.
On verso of the sheet is an apparent still life monoprint.
Parts of edges of sheet have pin or tack holes.
Sheet has some mount staining, uneven toning; also some foxing, recto and verso.
Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports.
