the overhanging cornice with square supports above fall with relief carved foliate and rosette design, enclosing a fitted interior, above two short over one long drawer with characteristic brass handles and corresponding carved band, the whole raised on square supports, bear maker''s label ARTHUR W. SIMPSON/ THE HANDICRAFTS/ KENDAL, numbered 8763

Condition Report: - In a generally good condition
- Good colour to wood, with nicely figured grain
- Boards very slightly seperating at the join between top surface and side rail
- Carving to the front panel and lower surround is crisp
- The leatherette inlay is marked as expected with use
- The inserts are in good order
- Original handles
- Minor nicks to legs consistent with age and use
