Description: Asien - Japan - - Kunisada, Utagawa (Toyokuni III). Sammlung von 12 japanischen Farbholzschnitten. Tokio, verschiedene Verleger, ca. 1833-1858. Ca. 35 x 23 cm - 37 x 25 cm. Unter Passepartouts montiert. Utagawa Kunisada (1786-1865), auch bekannt als Utagawa Toyokuni III., war zu seiner Zeit der populärste, bedeutendste und finanziell erfolgreichste Zeichner japanischer Farbholzschnitte. - Die Holzschnitte stammen aus verschiedenen Serien, darunter: Eine Kabukiszene aus "Die Geschichte von Izutsu Kumenosuk" 1857. - Eine Darstellung der Schauspielerin Bando Shuka I als Katsumi Aue-e Ochiyo. Joshuya Kinzo, 1852. - Eine Darstellung des Schauspielers Onoe Kikugoro III als Sukenari. Sanoya Kihei, 1833. - Darstellung einer Schauspielerin im Regen aus "53 Stations of the Tokaido." Izutsuya, 1852. - Die Insel Chikubu in der Omi Provinz aus "30 amazing stories of Kannon Temples of western Provinces", 1858. - Die anderen Holzschnitte zeigen wohl auch verschiedene japanische Schauspieler. - 2 Blatt etwas fleckig, 1 Blatt etwas knickspurig, sonst sehr gut erhalten. - \b Beiliegend: Kunichika, Toyohara. Tennryu-Gawa Fluß. Aus "Berühmte Orte an der Tokaido Straße." Iseya Shonosuke, 1863. - 35,5 x 23,5 cm. Unter Passepartout montiert. - Sehr gut erhalten.
