Manufactured from 1865 to 1888 with this a factory engraving. The sides of the frame feature scroll engraving on a punch dot background. The barrel marking of "REMINGTON'S ILION, N.Y./PATENT OCT. 1, 1861" (faint) is outlined in a line border flanked by dot pattern engraving. Floral and geometric engraving is featured on the back strap. Matching numbers on the barrel and frame under the left grip. Fitted with smooth rosewood grips. In a contemporary leatherette case lined with green velvet.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus original nickel finish with some scattered mild flaking and some fine surfaces scratches. The grips are very fine with a hairline crack on the right panel and some minor handling marks. The engraving is clear and crisp. The relined case is very fine with some minor handling marks and some minor wear on the lining.
