Condition Report: in generally good overall condition relative to its age, most of this work in generally unrestored original condition, but with areas of loss and restoration visible, particularly under u.v. light. Areas of restoration include to parts of Virgin's face, head, nose, top of hairline, and with a horizontal/diagonal crack emanating from left edge of work into part of Virgin's hair and top of her neck. There is apparent restoration in the area between Virgin's face and Child's halo, and some likely restoration to parts of both figures' halos (it is darker in these areas vis-à-vis the rest of each halo). There is restoration to top of Virgin's right hand and at lower right, with associated cracking and losses at lower right near corner. There is some restoration to part of Child's left hand, left arm and left leg. There is also restoration through part of Virgin's right shoulder extending into her chest. Otherwise there are some scattered minor surface imperfections/losses, and some loss to bottom edge of frame
