Tancred Borenius and Rudolf Wittkower, Catalogue of the Collection of Old Master Drawings Formed by Sir Robert Mond, London, 1937.

Condition Report: Matted, framed; outer edges of sheet on verso are affixed to a backing sheet, so nearly all of the drawing is NOT affixed to a backing sheet…only the very outer edges on the verso. The outer edges of the sheet are somewhat uneven, there are areas of crumpling to sheet – mainly to the lower center and also at upper center/upper right. Sheet has areas of localized discoloration recto and verso; there is a an approx. 6/3/4 inch diagonal fold at upper left; there is some diffuse browning along lower half of right edge and at center of left of sheet; there is a pinhead size hold in sheet to right of figure, and on verso there are thin white (mulberry?) paper pieces – these paper pieces may or may not serve as restoration.

Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid. All transactions are governed by Freeman's Conditions of Sale.
