Austrian Crystal, White Metal Evening Bag, Judith Leiber The evening bag is highlighted by silver Austrian crystals, graduated in size, set on textured white metal, crowned by a snap closure, completed by a white metal shoulder strap measuring 27 inches. The bag opens to reveal a metallic silver interior, and is accompanied by an original dust pouch. Signed Judith Leiber. Circa 1970. Dimensions: 5-1/2 inches x 4-1/2 inches x 2-1/4 inches This evening bag is illustrated (page 40) in the book, Judith Leiber The Artful Handbag. It Is the "Earliest metal bag, the chatelaine, in gold / jet and silver / jet versions, all with drop-in chains, 1967".
