DG05581 Private Collection, SA Sold with original gallery documentation In this rhythmic painting, which was a finalist in the 2004 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award, brush strokes overlap and weave to create a swaying effect like the movement of native grasses in the wind. These grow to 15 cm high and, while found throughout the year, are more abundant after rain. The seed is ground in to damper, an important staple food for traditional Aboriginal people.
