Description: Baroque Chest of Drawers.
Munich. Circa 1725-40. The fittings are possibly based on a design by Wilhelm de Grof.

Rio palisander, cherry, maple, partially inlaid and ebonised. Bronze fittings. Three-drawered breakfront serpentine case with slightly inset middle section, on flattened bun-feet. Decorated on all sides with geometric parquetry. Keyhole surrounds with the crowned Bavarian coat of arms supported by lions. The drawer handles are also in the shape of lions holding the Bavarian coat of arms, attached to mascarons. The edges are decorated with ornamental openwork fittings. 86x124x71cm. Condition C. The base and feet are a later addition.

Barock Kommode.
München. Um 1725-40. Die Beschläge möglicherweise nach einem Entwurf von Wilhelm de Grof.

Riopalisander, Nussbaum, Kirschbaum, Ahorn eingelegt und tlw. ebonisiert. Bronzebeschläge. Auf gedrückten Kugelfüßen dreischübig gebrochen geschweifter Korpus mit leicht zurückspringender Mitte. Allseitig dekorative geometrische Parkettierung. Schildbeschläge mit bayrischem Rautenwappen unter Krone, von Löwen flankiert. Die Handhaben gestaltet aus zwei Löwen das bayrische Wappen haltend, an Maskarons befestigt. An den Kanten ornamental durchbrochenes Beschlagwerk. 86x124x71cm. Zustand C. Sockelzone und Füße der Platte ergänzt.

Payment: Payment of the total amount due upon acceptance of a bid shall be made in cash or by bank certified cheque. Cheques shall only be accepted on account of performance. Any taxes, costs, transfer or encashment fees (including any bank fees charged to VAN HAM) shall be borne by the buyer. Buyers who participate in the auction in person shall pay the purchase price to VAN HAM immediately after their bid is accepted. Without prejudice to the fact that payment is due immediately, bids made in absentia may be paid within 14 days of the invoice date without being deemed to be in default.
Buyers Premium: The buyer shall pay the bid price plus a premium of 25% on the first €100,000 and a premium of 22% on all sums exceeding this amount. This includes statutory VAT, which will, however, not be listed separately due to the margin scheme as per S. 25a UStG (German Sales Tax Act). A premium of 21% on the first €100,000 of the bid price and of 18% on all sums exceeding this amount shall be levied on items listed in the appendix as subject to standard taxation. Statutory VAT of currently 7% (for paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints etc.) and 19% (objets d'art, carpets, jewellery, watches, clocks, silkscreens, offsets, photographs etc.) respectively shall be levied on the total of the bid price and the premium
