Condition/Details: Bound in pictorial boards with color pastedowns showing Peter Rabbit as a mailman arriving (front cover) and leaving (rear cover), this antique volume is a scarce original edition of Beatrix Potter's first and only almanac. Each month has a separate page with the calendar surrounded by line drawings of bunnies and birds in trees, with facing page offering an appropriate color plate showing animals engaged in seasonal activities. The work is illustrated with a pictorial title page, frontispiece and 12 color plates. This well-preserved volume shows very light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with bright, clean pages and pictorial endpapers. This unpaginated book measures approximately 3 3/4" x 5".
