Description: Beerbee Mungnari
1998
Mule Gap
natural earth pigments on canvas
150 x 90 cm

PROVENANCE:
Kimberley Australian Aboriginal Art Certificate of Authenticity.
Catalogue Number: N-0484-BM

OTHER NOTES:
With the red soil plain in front, Beerbee shows the area on Rosewood Cattle Station in the Northern Territory, where the flat pasture country, in green ochre mix, narrows and runs through Mule Gap. It was into this gap, that they would run cattle into the week-long drive into the meat works in Wyndham. Seen too, are the hills, in which are found Kelly''s Rockhole to the left and to the right, Settler''s Knob.
