Description: Letter of Appointment Document of the Israeli Consul in Los Angeles, Hand Signed by President Yitzchak Ben Zvi and Foreign Minister Golda Meir, Jerusalem, 1960.

Appointing Mr. Yaacov Avnon as consul in Los Angeles, asking the President of the United Stated of America Mr. Dwight D. Eisenhower and all the subordinate authorities to recognize him as the consul of the State of Israel in: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.


Yaacov Avnon (1996 - 1919) - Born in Poland, immigrated to Israel on 1937, served as a Major in the British army and as a Lieutenant-Colonel in IDF (Israel Defense Force - TZAHAL), joined the ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1950.


With an Imprint stamp of The State of Israel at the top and at the bottom of the document.
