Description: A rare 1920's Bengal Tiger Rug. This Bengal Tiger was taken on a hunting trip during the early 1900's. It is believed that this Bengal Tiger Rug was mounted by Van Ingen.....a very prominent taxidermist. Van Ingen & Van Ingen of Mysore (1900-1998) were Indian taxidermists located in Mysore, South India, best known for their tiger and leopard taxidermy mounts now scattered throughout the world in the form of head mounts, full mounts, flat animal rugs, and rug mounts with heads attached. The Van Ingens served the highest if international nobility as well as the maharajas of India, perserving their 'shikar' hunting trophies in the most lifelike poses and in the utmost beauty, incomparable to any taxidermy. **This item can not ship outside of the United States.
