Bertus Pietersz is known for landscape, trompe still life, forests. Bertus L. Pietersz painter, writer, and teacher was born on September 13, 1869 in Amsterdam, Holland and died in July of 1938. He specialized in landscapes, forests, gypsies, and hunters. Pietersz's listed addresses are Hancock, NH in 1929 and Springfield, MA in 1934. He studied in Rotterdam and was a pupil of Henry Ward Ranger (1858-1916). Memberships include the American Federation of the Arts; the American Artists Professional League; and the Springfield Art League.
