BLUE AND WHITE 'THE ELOPEMENT OF HONG FU' PUNCH BOWL
the exterior painted with a continuous scene of Hong Fu Nü (the Lady with Red Sleeves) and Li Jing meeting in a garden before their elopement, accompanied by their friend Qiu Ranke (the Dragon Beard Man) and two attendants, the interior painted with a landscape scene in a roundel
- Good overall appearance with an intense cobalt-blue typical of wares of the Kangxi period
- There are four hairline rim cracks, measuring circa 2cm, 5cm, 11cm and 15cm in length respectively
- There are several hairline cracks to the base, the longest crack extends above the foot and measures circa 20cm in length
- A chip to the mouth rim circa 2cm in width
