More About this Item

Description: 1937 52-HAUTE MARNE. ST. DIZIER. Action de F500, specimen. blue, red, yellow, black. #20000. Folds and one repaired edge-tear. One of the finest and most extraordinary of French brewery shares. Very long format, and most colourful. Amusing vignette of King François I, colourfully dressed. Border of golden hops. Red Star of David, so probably Jewish-owned. The brewery was founded in St.Dizier, eastern France, in 1877, in an area where the finest barley is grown. The company won many medals at fairs around France and abroad. According to our data, no more than 5 pieces are known. Rarity 10.
