Description: British 1855 Pattern Lancaster Sword Bayonet complete with two piece grips, brass pommel and cross guard. Cut away slot fitting and working spring. Top pommel stamped with R.A.M.C 6912 10.9. Housed in its original brass mounted leather scabbard. Piped back blade measuring 60 ½ cm in length. Forte stamped with VR crowned acceptance stamps and remains of makers mark R & W Aston. Some scuffing and wear to the leather scabbard but generally good condition example.
