Description: Manufactured in 1854. The top barrel flat is marked "ADDRESS COL:COLT.LONDON" (flanked by arrows), "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side of the frame and an "arrow/WD" British War Department proof on the left side of the barrel lug. Alternating crown/V and crown/GP proofs on the Texas Navy battle scene roll engraved cylinder. Matching serial number on the loading lever, frame, iron trigger guard and iron backstrap. The wedge is unmarked and the cylinder has an illegible serial number. Fitted with a smooth walnut grip.

Condition: Period refinished. The revolver has a smooth refinished light brown patina, shows signs of being cleaned at one time and some mild pitting under the aforementioned finish. Limited traces of the cylinder engraving remain. There is a hole drilled through the grip, otherwise the refinished grip is good with a chipped toe, a couple minor gouges and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
