Description: 1. Day of prayer and fast. Appeal for a day of prayer and fast on the 13th of Adar 1921, to oppose the establishment of the Chief Rabbinate. The day was designated during a meeting of Rabbis and Torah greats in Jerusalem on the 8th of Adar, 1921. Signed by: Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonenfeld, with his official stamp and the stamp of the Ashkenazic Beit Din in Jerusalem. The poster details the order of prayers and shofar blowing. With a Turkish tax stamp from the era. Tear along the length of the notice, but still attached. Complete. Jerusalem, 1921. One large leaf. 47 cm.2. 'One Notices their Own Imperfections'. Poster issued by the supporters of the Chief Rabbinate, opposing the writers of the first poster and the upcoming fast day. Signed: שלמי אמוני ישראל. One leaf, 29 cm.
