Mummies of Ramses II and Seti I, father of Ramses II. 1881. 4 albumen prints. Each circa 23 x 18 cm.
Assistant to the egyptologist Auguste Mariette, Émile Brugsch became the assistant curator of the Boulaq Museum under Mariette and the Cairo Museum under Maspèro. He was an amateur photographer who specialized in reproducing objects of the museum and mummified remains. - Some prints slightly faded, otherwise in good condition.
