Description: The bylaws of the Bayit V'Gan society in Jaffa. 6 bylaws, including the name of the neighborhood, its registration in the government offices, its mission, members, payments, and administrative building.16.5 cm. 8 pages, not attached - as original. Excellent condition. Folds.On the 20th of Adar, 1919, members of the 'Mizrachi' decided to establish a new, closed, neighborhood with religious character, south of Jaffa. The first meeting of the settlers took place on the 17th of Iyar, 1919. And in , 13 families first settled its land. One of its founders, R' Binyamin (Yehoshua Radler-Feldman) gave the society its name.During the pogroms of 1936, many of the settlers left the neighborhood, and the settlement lost its religious character. The settlement's name was later changed to Bat-Yam.
