.75" diameter. It is solid, whole and fully detailed having its original shank, with a rich deep natural bronze patina. This Regimental button was worn by the mercenary troops brought across seas to serve the British Crown. These troops actively took part in major battles of the Revolutionary War (1775-1783), including the famous turning point of the Revolution at the Battle of Trenton. A rarely encountered Hessian Army Grenadiers' Regimental Button in excellent collectable quality, from the American Revolutionary War.
