Description: Carl E. Schwartz is a nationally recognized painter and print-maker. He was born in Detroit and educated at the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Chicago where he earned a BFA degree. His impressive biography lists: many awards, including the Logan Medal from the Art Institute of Chicago; juried and invitational exhibitions, such as Art Across America sponsored by Mead Corporation; one and two person shows, at Illinois State Museum and the Art Institute S&R Gallery in Chicago to name a few. Offered here is an etching titled _ÛÊShoreline_ÛÊ_, Proof XVI, signed, image approx. 7-3/4 x 10-3/4 on 14-3/4 x 22-1/4 paper. Another example of this etching is in the permanent collection of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.
