This lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the Artist.
The canvas has been laid down to board. The artist has confirmed this was his working method and that this is original to the piece. The canvas measures 19 1/4 x 15 inches and the board measures 22 3/4 x 18 3/4 inches. Only the canvas is visible in the present frame. When unframed, the board is painted black and exhibits some wear, scuffing and minor paint loss in a few areas, all of which is consistent with the fact that it has been underneath the frame. The blue area at bottom left exhibits various circular markings, which are visible in the catalogue illustration. These may be the result of the canvas coming into contact with something, perhaps bubble wrap. Otherwise, in good and original condition.
Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid.
