CARVED BLUE AND WHITE ''PHOENIX'' BOTTLE VASE
GUANGXU MARK AND POSSIBLY OF THE PERIOD
well-modelled with a pear-shaped rising to a tall slender neck, carved in low-relief with two pairs of phoenix flanking a full moon, below bands of underglaze-blue lingzhi lappets encircling the shoulder and the foot, the base with a six-character reign mark within a double-circle
- Good overall appearance
- There is a firing crack to the body measuring circa 4cm in total length
- There is a hairline crack to the neck measuring circa 5cm in length
- There is a very shallow hairline glaze crack as well as further scratch marks
