19TH CENTURY, INCORPORATING SOME EARLIER ELEMENTS
the moulded cornice above a frieze carved MDCCI, above a pair of floral marquetry doors flanked and divided by carved robed figures; the lower cabinet with a pair of carved panel doors within scroll and laurel carved mouldings
109cm wide, 169cm high, 53cm deep
- structurally ok, surface appears dry and would benefit from waxing
- some splits to wood panels in places, most notable is top panel on LR door
- hinges look like later replacements and are corroded slightly, indicating exposure to damp air
- signs of small nailed repairs to the projecting shelf
- old marks and scuffs consistent with age and use
