Description: CELADON JADE CARVED 'PHOENIX AND PEACH' GROUP
QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
the phoenix in a recumbent position with legs tucked under the body and head turned backwards, the long, arched tail carved in openwork with separate feathers, the beak holding a leafy branch bearing three ripe peaches, the stone of a celadon tone with fine snowflake inclusions
16.5cm long

Condition Report: - Good overall condition
- There is a crack to the curling end of one feather which has been reglued, the crack however is the result of a natural fissure
