Description: Chinese jade cicada from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). This celadon jade with brown and white streaks is beautifully carved. On one side, the cicada's wings, head, and eyes are visible. On the other side the cicada's thorax, legs, and antennae are depicted. Attached to the toggle is a small cord with a single bead. Dimensions are 1 7/8 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide.
