aigus de type rumex, tailloir fortement mouluré,
astragale en tore anguleux.

Le couvent des Jacobins est situé en plein centre
ville de Toulouse et sa construction s''est étalée
entre 1230 et 1385. L''édifiation des quatre
galeries du cloître a été réalisée lors de la dernière
campagne, durant la première décennie du XIVe
siècle. Abandonnés par les dominicains qui furent
chassés à la Révolution, les bâtiments furent
partagés par la suite : une partie est attribuée à
la ville tandis que l''autre est transformée en une
vaste écurie à chevaux. C''est ainsi que le cloître fut
démoli aux trois-quarts pour faciliter le passage
des animaux. Les galeries est et sud du cloître
actuel ont été reconstituées, entre 1965 et 1970, avec
des éléments disparates retrouvés dans la région
(fi.). Ce chapiteau double et le suivant sont ainsi de
rares témoignages de ce berceau des Dominicains
que représentait le couvent dit des Jacobins, joyau
du gothique languedocien qui abrite encore les
reliques de saint Thomas d''Aquin.
