Description: Charles Buckles Falls (American, 1874-1959), two unframed watercolors on paper, c. 1937: the first a close-up of flowers and scattered mushrooms, inscribed, dated and pencil signed along lower margin, glue residue in corners from previous mounting, overall 13 1/4" h. x 18 3/4" w.; and the second an unsigned detail of blooming skunk cabbage, some masking tape residue along upper margin, overall 14 1/2" h. x 21 1/2" w., both with expected wear including foxing, toning and discoloration to paper. [Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the New Britain Museum of American Art. PROVENANCE: Artwork formerly included in the NBMAA Study Collection.]
