Notes: This is one of Clifford’s photographic experiments carried out when he codified his production. The print was made by contact as was typical at the time and the margins were not cropped. This copy provides us with a lot of information about his way of working, in the creation of the first archive of views and buildings in Spain. One of the two known photographs of this view of Seville with the card printed on the image with the description used in the catalogue in A Photographic 1ScIramble through Spain. Above is reproduced the version of this image found in the Biblioteca Nacional in Madrid in the album of Andalucía and Murcia, in which the card is not included and in which we cannot see the flag which hangs from the Torre de Oro.
