Description: CHARLES MEER WEBB
(british 1830-1895)
SETTLING ACCOUNTS
Signed and dated ''C.M. Webb 1860'' bottom center left, oil on canvas laid on panel
30 x 47 1/8 in. (76.2 x 119.7cm)
provenance:
Private Collection, Virginia.

Condition Report: Canvas laid to panel, in generally good overall condition. While there may well be some older retouching under the varnish (difficult to discern), there is some visible restoration in parts of the painting, including at upper center, upper center left and upper left in the background. The figures, hare and birds appear generally unrestored.

Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid. All transactions are governed by Freeman's Conditions of Sale.
