Contract Information: By bidding at auction, bidders are bound by those Conditions and Glossary, as amended by any oral announcement or posted notices, which together form the contract of sale between the successful bidder (buyer), Waddington's™, and the consignor (seller) of the lot. Descriptions or photographs of lots are not warranties and each lot is sold "as is" in accordance with the Conditions of Sale.
Payment Information: Payment for purchases must be by INTERAC direct debit (applicable to Canadian in-person clients only), certified cheque (not applicable to U.S. and international sales), travelers cheque, bank draft, electronic transfer (fee applies), and VISA or Mastercard (up to $25,000).
The buyer shall pay for all lots within two business days of sale date.
Pick-Up & Shipping Terms: Clients can pick up their purchased wine or spirits directly from Iron Gate Private Wine Management Iron Gate. All pick up times will be arranged through Waddington's and include a 48-hour notice period prior to pick-up. Pick up hours are between 10 AM and 6 PM M-F, by appointment only. Please bring a copy of your paid invoice as proof of payment. As all persons receiving wine must be 19 years of age or older, photo identification may also be requested.
Items purchased and not picked up after 30 days following the auction will incur storage fees at $4.00 per lot per month. Waddington's will be responsible for charging and collecting storage fees, to be paid before purchased items will be released. For more information on storage, please see below.
For delivery services within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) please contact Annie Gabrialovitch at The Messengers, 905.362.0822 Ext. 406 (email@example.com) to arrange delivery of your wine. Clients are responsible for any charges associated with delivery arrangements.
For delivery services outside the GTA, please contact Perry Hehn at Envoy, 416.299.3367 (firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange for shipment of your wine. Clients are responsible for any duties, taxes, shipping or other charges associated with shipping arrangements.
Note: Certain states or other countries may impose limitations on the amount of and quantity of alcoholic beverages that can be legally brought into their jurisdiction. Waddington's is not responsible for obtaining shipping permits or licenses and advise our clients to investigate any possible limitations imposed by their local region.
Fine Wine and Spirits - Storage
Waddington's fully understands the importance of maintaining an ideal, protected environment for the storage of fine wines and spirits. All wine and spirits consigned to our auctions will be stored at our storage associate Iron Gate Private Wine Management, which meets or exceeds the best standards of storage conditions.

Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium of 20% of the successful bid price of each lot is paid by buyer as part of the total purchase price. Invaluable clients will be charged a buyer's premium of 25% of the successful bid price of each lot as part of the total purchase price.
Taxes on your purchase: Unless exempted by law, the buyer is required to pay Harmonized Sales Tax on the total purchase price including the buyer's premium. For international buyers, taxes are not applicable when purchases are shipped out of country. Items shipped out of Ontario, the buyer is required to pay taxes as per the tax status of that province, whether it HST or GST (Goods and Services Tax).
