This pick-up from the first year of production of the 3100 series with a revised Chevy engine (with Trickflow aluminum heads) was partly rebuilt by its previous owner. In its interior the dashboard and the seat bench, as well as the windows including the rubbers were renewed. The finish has a patina, but the body is nearly corrosion-free. In order to get it registered for the use on German roads, the wheel rims, tires, as well as wear parts of brake system, steering, running gear and electrics should be revised.
Today the Chevrolet Pick-up 3100 counts among the most sought-after American pick-ups. The number 3100 stands for the truck's loading capacity, in this case half a ton of additional weight is permitted. The model was produced in California, Missouri, Michigan and Wisconsin. Alongside the classic pick-up truck, a closed version, the so-called "Panel Van" was also available. (kre)
