This Chevrolet El Camino from 1976 was partly restored with several new parts. A new 2.5‘‘-exhaust system was built in. The engine was improved with a slight performance upgrades. A camper-top is also part of this lot. In order to pass the general inspection and to obtain the H-license plate for historic vehicles, it is recommended to have the vehicle checked and renewed where necessary. Electrics has to be adjusted to German standards.
The upper middle class car Chevrolet El Camino is a pick-up with an open cargo area and was built in 1959 and 1960, after an interruption production was continued from 1964 to 1987. The Chevrolet Cameo, whose pick-up bed was integrated into the body's design, is an indirect predecessor as it also is a combination of a utility vehicle and a passenger car. The identical sister model was sold by General Motors GMC with the designation Spirit (later Caballero) since the early 1970s. (ala)
