Qing dynasty (1644-1911), a lobed shaped silk cover elegantly embroidered with a couched gold thread dragon coiled around a flaming pearl amidst swirling clouds above a band of turbulent waves, a border of flowers surrounds, backed with yellow silk.

Imperial yellow throne covers of this quality rarely come up for auction, the last similar example being Christie's in 2011.
