Description: A very rare and fine Five-Dynasty/Song period global jar, decorated with incised Four Gods (Qing Lung, the Blue Dragon; Bai Hu, the White Tiger; Zhu Che, the Red Bird,; and Xuan Wu, the Turtle), common Daoism motifs from Han to Tang Dynasties. (Dr. Robert I-San Lin’s Collection of Important Chinese Arts, brought to California in 1960s). Height 2 in.
