Description: Northern Qi Dynasty,550-577 AD. A ceramic figure of a male wearing a cap with a tall peaked back, with flaps over the ears; long robes falling to the knees and belt at waist, trousers below and tall boots; left hand at the waist, right held to chest; traces of pigment to the face, cap and robes. 348 grams, 22cm (8 3/4"). From an important London collection, acquired in the 1990s.
