Description: Chinese Qing dynasty robe of blue patterned silk embroidered with numerous flowers including unusual species for Chinese embroidery, Lilly, dicentra and Morning Glory, worked in Peking knot and silk stitch, with some gilt thread, two sleeve panels one with gold fret design scattered in flowers, and a further panel with flowers, the vents with woven braid showing butterfly, gilt ball fastenings, length 96 cm .Provenance: An important collection of International Historical textiles.
