Provenance: By descent in the Quincy Adams Shaw family, from the collection of Quincy Adams Shaw III (1897-1987) to the current owner.

Other Notes: Quincy Adams Shaw (1825-1908) was a Boston Brahmin investor, business magnate and art collector.
