The series of drawings “The Invisible Clerk” (based on a story by Ilf and Petrov) is part of my series of illustrations inspired by Russian texts. In this case, their story fascinated me through the well-done depiction of situations and instances discussing the condition of art and the artistic medium, and their questioning of the relation between power and arts/artists, the role of art and its aim.
