Complete First Part (of three) of these separate travel accounts, published between 1810 and 1823. The current work covers Clarke’s journey, started in 1799 from Russia, through the Crimea and the Black sea coastlines and continued in Constantinople and Turkey in 1800. He was a travelling companion to his pupil Cripps. An extensive work along history, human & physical geography, archaeology, botanology etc. Modern binding, light signs of moisture on first ~1/4.
