Description: Philadelphia, PA., $5000, P-Unlisted, Clearing certificate from 1873 depression, Black on white paper, ornate text but plain form, S/N 10097, Counterfoil on left, POC's, XF-AU condition. This note was sold during the 1996 Memphis Auction for $1065. Very probably unique and this is the only example the cataloger has seen offered since then. Also includes an images of the Clearing House building. (From the collection of John E. Herzog).
