Description: Cobden (Richard, statesman and reformer, founder of the Anti-Corn Law League, pamphleteer, 1804-65) Long Autograph Letter signed to Sir William Molesworth MP (1810-55), of Pencarrow, Cornwall, 10pp., 8vo, laid down on card with an engraving of Cobden's house in Midhurst on verso, Midhurst, 10th February 1855, mainly about the ballot, introducing himself as the "Manchester Manufacturer", expressing disquiet at the 1837 elections and proposing a society be set up for the further demonstration of how the ballot should function etc., folds.
