New Jersey Currency
Only 500 Six Pound Notes Authorized December 31, 1763
New Jersey. December 31, 1763. Six Pounds. Red and Blue Printed Face. Very Fine.
Fr. NJ-160. This colorful 1763 French & Indian War period 6 note is the highest denomination on the issue, with only a mere 500 notes printed! This example has deep red and blue printed text and designs on its well centered face side. There is some light conservation to the vertical centerfold deftly sealing an edge split. It is clean and even in circulation with a face side that is sharp and vivid for display. Very scarce.
