Lovely "No Cancel" April 29, 1780 New Hampshire Seven Dollars "Guaranteed" Issue Fully Signed Very Scarce!
State of New Hampshire. April 29, 1780. Seven Dollars. Fully Signed "Guaranteed" by the United States Issue. No Cancel. Choice Crisp About Uncirculated.
Fr. NH-184. This important 1780 Revolutionary War issued note carries a 5% annual interest "Guaranteed" by the United States Continental Congress. (Some serious researchers of American history and finance continue to argue to this very day that the promised 5% interest due of these notes should be compounded and is still currently payable!) Extremely well centered, this note has the overall eye appeal of Choice Uncirculated with some faint handling. Three excellent red and brown signatures are complete and clearly readable, as is the "Guarantee" line bold brown signature of John Taylor Gilman on the reverse. A lovely red and black printed note that is extremely difficult to locate having not been hole cancelled. This example is one of the finest without any Cancel we've offered.
