Vivid Genuine August 24, 1775 New Hampshire Note
Colony of New Hampshire. August 24, 1775. Three Pounds. Genuine. Redemption Due Date of December 10, 1777. Extremely Fine.
Fr. NH-141. This is a fully Genuine Three Pounds note on the Colony of New Hampshire, issued early in the Revolutionary War dated August 24, 1775. It is boldly printed in rich black upon a quality white period laid paper. This note is very well margined with an excellent large curved left side indent which includes the text "three pounds". It appears evenly circulated, having one invisibly reinforced vertical centerfold and some corner folds seen from the reverse, and the blank back remains mostly clean and free of detractions. An appealing Uncancelled note bearing a bold red serial number and signatures of Nicholas Gilman, and in light brown of E. Thompson. A worthy genuine and non-cancelled example quite desirable for collecting.
